Very true, yes.

It is a pain, I agree... but it makes a lot of sense. The PS3 used a language that devs found difficult to program for... especially when doing multi-console games... exclusive games tended to run really well, but multi-console games didn't really do so hot, mainly since they were coded with the 360 in mind, then ported.

Ohhh yeah, that makes sense. I have Playstation Now, but I'm hoping they add some more titles to it.

Lot cheaper to just get a PS3 and wait for flash sales and other weekly deals. Sitting on a little over 500 downloaded games for the thing alone. Full games with all dlc for $5 and cheaper isn't something to scoff at.

Cool! The neat thing with Dark Souls 3 (and Bloodborne if you get that... and you should =p) is that they have a password matchmaking system that if you use it, you can connect to other people using the password when doing summoning. This means that, so long as both people are in the same area, you can summon each other. In Dark Souls 3 in particular, if the summoned phantom is a higher level than the other person, the game scales down the person't stats to match. This way, you can't bring in a player who's already beaten the game with maxed-out gear to steamroll the area for you.

Oh that's awesome! One of my biggest peeves with Diablo 3 was people joining my game and wrecking everything. Makes the game really unfun:x

Yeah... Fromsoft really has been trying to better refine the online multiplayer aspects of their games ever since the problems that arose with Dark Souls 1 (low-level runs, maxing out gear, then invading new players and crushing them with overpowered gear... or summoning into their world to crush all in the world for the host). Actually, they did quite a lot of good things in that regard, such as no longer having the ability to reinforce armour and the invasion matchmaking mechanic taking into consideration weapon refinement levels (for example, a person with a fully-reinforced weapon won't be able to invade users with +2 refined or unrefined weapons).
