yeah, I mean Im glad we have a place to go when FA inevitably goes down again, but I just wish FN would do away with all the unnecessary bells and whistles.

Plus they have a new HUD being released with modules like dA. It's gonna be so nice. People seem to forget that the site is in beta. Even with it being in beta it's still x10 better then this place. I'm only here still because so many people are still here. Eventually FA is going to be gone.

Some people prefer simplicity over complexity. In fact, I think that FA's layout is just fine the way it is because it's simple and easy for people to understand if they are new. Places like FN can confuse people because it's such a step up from FA but that doesn't mean that FA's layout is "crummy".

But that's just my opinion.

I find it interesting that you're criticizing me for expressing my opinion of finding FA's layout crummy, yet you're not criticizing anyone else for finding FN's layout "gross".

Edit: Also, FA isn't entirely simple. It can be difficult to navigate for simple things. When I first joined I couldn't find the option to edit profile information because each of the options in the control panel could fall under editing profile information. I currently use the BETA layout because it's x10 better then the old one.

Well to be fair FN layout is bad,finding stuff is horrible,all of the shortcuts and browsing are a mess imo something like deviant art would have been tolerable but FN just wants to be really "new".

I guess there are some "advantages" but so far not even the transfer tool they have works.

Tbh I do t even see what's better about the site over this or DA or Inkbunny.

Also I do have it,it basically looks like a furry myspace tbh (atleast the old myspace)

It's in open beta. If you look at their notes you would see a lot of their plans are going to make it amazing and it's gonna dominate furry websites.

I know that. But the amount of changes they plan to implement as they continue through open beta is pretty awesome.

I'm not "criticizing" you for expressing your opinion. I'm just saying that not all people find FA's layout "crummy" and some people like to stick with what they're used to instead of moving on to different things. I'm also not saying that everyone hates FN or that FN has a "gross" layout.

Everyone is suited to different things. Some will pick FA, others will go to FN. But I'm not saying either is better, I'm simply saying that some people prefer the simplicity of FA over FN. I don't see how that's being critical in any way.

It's true some people don't like it, but there are also some that won't even bother. But it doesn't matter, people will still enjoy this artist's work on FN, including me! :3

I actually don't really like FN. If people are going to stop using FA, they should try switching to Weasyl! I love that site, but not many people use it compared to the other furry art websites.

I don't like this move. FN doesn't even work right on mobile devices and it does not give me an option to view full site on it. So until they fix that I can't use FN because it doesn't work on mobile devices. Please consider using Weasyl!

FN works a lot better than FA for me on my iPhone o.o

Yea but the iPhone/iOS products are only about 20% of the Mobile device market. Android makes up most of the rest along with BlackBerry/Windows/Kindle etc

I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, but by moving to FurryNetwork and FurryNetwork only, you're losing a lot of customers. I, for one, started using FurAffinity so I could get more exposure and sell adoptables on my DeviantART. After reading all these comments, it doesn't seem like most of your watchers will be visiting your new account due to the fact that FurryNetwork is just too complex compared to FurAffinity, which is what people are used to. That's because it's simple and basic.

I hate to see you go, especially considering I just started watching you, but good luck in the fursuit business on FurryNetwork.

This is Autumn Fallings were talking about. They don't need Furaffinity to be successful. Litterally every suit is god tier, and when the slots open they go immediately. Not to mention they are in so high demand that they are able to auction off a custom suit for 2 to 4 times their normal prices.
So not having an FA wont hurt them at all.

Not having an FA will leave a lot of people in the dark about AutumnFallings and a lot of people will never even get to know her suits. I guess the same could be said for FN, but I'm under the impression that most people use FA. It's certainly a lot more popular around my area, at least.

And I'm not saying "they need FurAffinity to be successful". I'm just saying they're missing out on a lot of potential business. For example. that one kid who used FA could really want a suit from her and have all the money saved up for it, but suddenly she moves to FN and the kid just hates FN with a fiery passion (like many on this thread but not all). Then he's going to either: a) be totally devoted and make an FN anyway even though he hates it, or b) find another fursuit maker who sells their stuff on the site he's used to. This makes for more competition in the fursuit business, since many people who like FA may just simply find a different fursuit maker to make their suits.

I get that AuntumnFallings is like, THE AutumnFallings. But to some people, that doesn't mean much, if anything. Some people just want a nice fursuit in a cartoony style, so they will go the easiest route. I'm not saying her suits aren't "god-tier", I'm saying that some people would rather pick a different fursuit maker than switch to FN.

However, I'm sure that even with this slight decrease in customers, AutumnFallings will still be successful.

They are auctioning off slots for a suit. With it passing 10k on that auction. So just by not having an fa will not have them lose customers. Whatever random kid goes up and says I want to commission autumn fallings! Probably cant afford them.

Who would ever pay 10K for a suit? I mean, yeah they're nice suits but in my opinion they aren't worth 10K... who even HAS 10K at their random disposal anyway?! That is ridiculous, in my opinion.

...But I think that's probably because 10-15K is about how much my family makes in a year. :dunno:

And I didn't say "random kid". I said, "that one kid who used FA could really want a suit from her and have all the money saved up for it". So under that circumstance, yes, they can afford it. Because they "had all the money saved up for it" and were prepared.


Anyway, it's not a big deal. It's just that if you move from any large website and work solely on another after being on one for so long, it'll surely slow down your business at least a little because you need to get yourself set up on the new site and all. Maybe that's not how it works for AutumnFallings but that's how it works for everyone else.
