Commissioners READ (Semi-hiatus)
Man. I have not logged onto Furaffinity or Second Life for a while now. I got 300+ journals and 1300+ submissions to skim through, but I hope that at least the dust bunnies had fun there while I was away. If anyone has ordered a commission from me or is awaiting one, let me know if you want me to write it up on the to-do list or give you a refund. NOTE me, please. Leave it out of the comment session.
This summer, I'm throwing away over a third of my break taking summer classes, which was exactly what I needed after driving myself into a mental breakdown halfway through the last semester. Turns out I'd done even worse this year than I did the last one, and the only reason I'm taking these classes instead of lagging behind again was because some teachers spared me. Now that's an opportunity if I've ever seen one, or at least it would be if it didn't ruin the little chance I had of getting to skip forward anytime soon, which is what I was hoping for.
I wanted time to expand on my artwork and try to get better because, to be honest, I have stagnated really bad. I used to be able to look back at artwork from a year ago and think I did pretty well, but this year I'm still in the same place that I was forever ago, only even rustier. I'm also up to here with drawing the same furries over and over again, man. I can barely draw anything else. It's a crappy deal when I have a myriad of other ideas that I have to downgrade to furry artwork just so I can put it on paper, so I want to take some time to practice other things.
The main reason for all that, though, is that I've decided that I want to become a tattoo artist. This is the main reason I want to learn how to draw more things, and also because I want to design the sleeves I've planned to get myself in the somewhat distant future. My mind sort of stuck thinking about it after a visit I made to the parlor several months ago and contacted the tattoo artist I befriended there who very generously offered to teach me some of the essentials before he moves to the states by the end of the summer. It's a lot of info to go over, so hopefully I'll pick up on an apprenticeship with someone else after he's gone. Gonna miss that dude.
So yeah, TL;DR is I'm taking a semi-hiatus from commissions to pay attention to summer school, holding back on furry artwork to expand my horizons and pay more mind to tattooing, and more angry barking.
Kisses. ♥
