If you're not sure what you want yet, don't hold up the line by hanging out at the register trying to figure it out. If you're asking the barista on register for advice if you have some idea of what you want, that's okay as long as you aren't too picky and therefor holding up the line. It's rude to the other customers.
Don't get mad at the baristas because the store you usually go to does one thing and the store you're currently at doesn't. IE: My store stops selling dark and blonde roasts and decaf after noon due to the lack of demand and subsequent wastage. It's not our fault that we don't have it. We can offer you alternatives, but we can't bend our store policy for one customer.
Understand that when there are a lot of people waiting at the bar when you put in your order that it's going to take some time for your drink to be made. Same with putting in a mobile order, it'll be put in line when the sticker comes out. Some stores don't have the space to have four baristas on bar. It takes time to steam milk, pull shots and blend drinks. Some stores also have less than others, like my store only has one blender and we only have enough space for 2 or 3 baristas on bar. It'll take us a minute, but you'll get your drink.
Also don't get mad that your drink wasn't made right, especially if there's a lot of drinks to be made. It can be overwhelming for baristas when we have a ton of different drinks to make all with different customization. Just ask and we'll remake it for you.
If you ask for water at the register and there's a lot of people waiting on their drinks already, be patient. We can't just pick which drinks to make first, we do them in order of placement. Just because it's not hard to make doesn't mean we'll give it special treatment.
Also don't cut people off at the register because we offered you a refund for your dissatisfaction. Wait patiently in line and we will help you.
Don't stay on your phone while ordering. If you're trying to pull up your app or reload it, step out of line to do it.
If you miss us calling out your drink, and most of the time we'll do it multiple times if it doesn't get picked up soon, because you were talking or were on your phone, etc, don't get mad at the barista. It is your fault that you didn't hear us call your drink.
I could probably put more.
Sincerely,
A very tired Starbucks barista.

FA+

Ours only stocks it ONE MONTH out of the year, and a lot of people lose their shit over it.
Sad that we aren't even as busy and I still have to deal with all this BS.
Where are you situated?
Tree-laden street in Springfield, Oregon
Small city, still busy as hell.
How long are you open?
Weird. Though I know the ones around here, after a certain time, they don't have a thing full of dark roast and instead they do this thing where they put a filter thing over your cup and pour hot water into it or something.
Or just forget all that and just get a buncha those white chocolate mocha things.
