Just a small update ^o.o^
Last month, I went on a trip and when I got back from said trip, I realized I had an infection in my finger.
Had to go to the doctor and took some antibiotics.
The pain, swelling and pressure in my finger is completely gone... however, the skin hasn't completely healed and it's been awhile since the infection has gone and since I've stopped taking the antibiotics.
I also noticed that my right index finger started hurting on the bottom, close to the tip. At first I thought I was having another infection, but quickly realized this shouldn't be the case and that it's likely hurting due to how I'm holding my tablet pen and pressing the button on it (It's the monoprice replacement pen... not exactly a friendly pen to press the buttons on constantly). The problem is that I haven't really been using my index finger much and its been 10 days, and it still subtly hurts. Keep in mind that I use my tablet as a mouse, so I use it a lot. It just seems weird that my finger is still hurting, even though it is getting better the progress is slow.
These are two different fingers. The finger my infection was on was the left hand, and my index finger on my right hand is the one that hurts from overuse.
I'm also going through anxiety attacks that keep me from getting more than 4 hours of sleep. Whenever I try to rest/relax, sometimes I get weird palpitations right along my left collarbone, or on my left shoulder blade. Right now I feel congested. I might have a sinus infection or something, I have no clue. I may also have an infection somewhere else which could be causing me problems throughout my body... but I can't confirm that. It could be a number of things, or just plain mental stress.
Because I've been trying to keep up with my health, I haven't been practicing much on art... which I need to get back into, its just hard to concentrate when I'm worried about something and I tend to be overly cautious.
This whole situation is problematic for me because I'm not on insurance. I have to pay out-of-pocket for an appointment, prescription, etc and I don't want to do that too often. I may not have much of a choice, but I'm just stubborn sometimes.
I hate making excuses or giving bad news, which is why a post like this is rare from me. I just wanted to put this journal up since a decent amount of my watchers are friends of mine (and someone I deeply care about) and I wanted to give an update for them :3
