I've got the Marking Blues~... D:

So ... as you should all know by now ...
I love Annette ... and I looove her markings ...
That said ... I've been considering changing some of them around, as of late...
I'm talking the big ones ... her leaf corset ...
I'm not going to lie, even thinking about removing the leaf corset markings makes me sad ...
but seeing her drawn soo often with something drastically wrong with it frustrates me ...
Between that and the issue with people not putting the guarder marking on her, it's starting to upset me.
People will actually sometimes draw her with the corset and the guarder but leave the bows out because they think they're optional.
But they're not... they're markings.
I asked someone to put these things on my character because they mean something to me.
They symbolize important parts of who she is and who I am ...
That said, i'm getting to a point where I'd really rather change her up than see someone mess up her markings as much as they have been.
So, here's what I'm thinking .... I'm going to have to get a new ref sheet.
On this ref sheet, there's going to be some changes that I want ...
And some that, unfortunately, I may NEED to make ...
- Her hair is going to be looser curls instead of tight ringlets.
As much as I love the ringlets ... but I'm growing to like a slightly looser curl on her more.
- Her eyes will no longer have the "galaxy" design in them.
The ref sheet has her with these stary eyes that do have a meaning ... but I think people have difficulty with it and have
started to ask artists to draw her with teal colored, pupil-less, eyes. I actually like the look of it, so I'm good with this change.
- Her antler design.
The antlers she has on her ref are different from the ones I'd like for her to have and have been asking artists to draw for me as of late.
- Glasses!
I've been thinking about it for a while and I'd like for her to have a pair of glasses. I got mine after making Annette and I can't see myself
without them, literally and metaphorically. lol. So I've been thinking of adding a pair to Annette. Just not set on the frames yet. >w<
- Removing Bows and ribbons.
.... this one ... Removing these will get rid of the confusion people seem to have with her markings and how they are MARKINGS and
not removable clothing items ... but it also takes away from the look in that the leaves will look like a pile of strangely placed and random
leaves on her midriff. Which leads to my next change ...
- Removing and/or changing placement of leaves ...
I'm not happy about this at all ... this one is actually making me sad to think about it ... but the leaves will look odd without the ribbons...
So I either change their placement somehow.... or I have to get rid of them ...
Yup ... I'm gonna be a sad lope for a bit after all this ...
And Annette is going to look quite a bit different ...
But maybe it's worth it if I can get art done of her and have it look right?
