Draw because you want to and don't care about other people.
Sounds selfish but seriously, f**k them.
Kitty,
Please don't give up on art.
I think you've made allot of improvement with your art,
if you quit you'll be shoving all that work and time aside.
Allot of artist, even myself, get really fed up with draw/art all different kinds of art,
but in order for you to keep going you need to keep going, I'm not saying this to upset you.
I just want you to know that none of the effort you are putting into your work is going to waste.
Sometimes you need to branch off into different areas to find what you are comfortable doing, things that arent forced.
Instead of quitting try doing other things with your art, try a different way to draw certain things.
Referencing other artists work, their process, or even asking others that you idolise to critique your art may help,
if you can handle constructive critisism. Something else you can do is try doing different mediums like digital painting,
or pixel art, or even try doing traditional art, start off with colored penciles and blending and then work up to something like copics.
This could just matter in a change of pace or what you/your hands like more.
You are fighting an opstical that no one likes fighting against, but no matter what you take up doing you may run into this.
Drawing, your hands aren't doing what your brain wants, painting, you aren't sure what methods are more helpful,
singing, you don't know what style of music you like the most or where your voice suites it. all of these run in the lane of improvement.
You improve once you start, sometimes you need to shove yourself into it and embrace whatevere it is as it is.
If you have a passion, work toward it even through the tears and frustration. You'll have to push yourself in order to get where you want,
but know you have most people that would happily help you, and you have resources all throughout the internet to provide you with visual/verbal
help.
So please don't give up, if you need any help please don't hesitate to ask.
