Why y'all let artists get away with being rude etc?
I mean let's face it, if any company or business you went to copped an attitude towards you (or their employees) you'd probably say "Wow they're rude, I'm not going there again then".
Similarly if you knew there's this small cafe around the corner and you saw them telling someone off just because they can get away with it you probably should also think the same.
But here, you guys let people get away with anything and it's so annoying; like there are so many similar people who can fulfil the same role and yet instead of indeed 'moving on' you cling to the same. Is it so hard to understand you're only further encouraging the bad attitudes and that you're not actually getting anything in exchange?
I saw someone put up a typical Patreon 'pay and see' teaser, and you know, I personally don't really care. I mean, yeah it's annoying I suppose but ultimately it's not like we can't live without seeing things. (And it's the internet, it'll be out somewhere, but really do you put that much effort into finding most furry prons?)
However, the person should expect to have some people complain because.. it's the internet and they're being followed by thousands of people and you're suddenly asking for money to see some random content. I'm not saying whether they're right to complain, but the fact is they -can- and you know there's a 99% chance they will; and you should be able to handle these complaints or shrug them off.
But now new teasers come with this:
"This will be a teaser for now, if you do not complain about 'paywall' or that you have to pay just to see the full image i will post the image on here in a later date when i feel up to it. I don't care if you can't afford it, or if it pisses you off. Move on with your day and wait."
No offence, but -that- is what is enough for me to say "Well yeah fuck you too then?", I didn't really care before, but you shouldn't be able to get away with being rude while asking for money, even if it's your work!
However instead I assure you most people will either entirely ignore the fact that they wrote this, or even go as far as say "Oh boohoo I'm so sorry for you".
Shrug.

Good thing that scales protect you from being walked over. ..Probably, maybe not.
For a lot of people it's a "don't want to bite the hand that feeds" sorta thing. If you've already given them your money, and you're waiting on a commission, then you don't want to risk pissing them off to the point where they purposely botch your work x.x
But after seeing behavior like that, I can assure you that I have no desire to ever commission that individual again...
I suppose I'm mostly complaining about the other 70%!
But shrug, to be fair it's something kind of engrained in the community so I suppose that's why most don't care to stand up to it at least with their own e-feet by walking away! o/
Ahhh, gotcha! I've seen it happen with quite a few other artists, people defending them mindlessly when they've proven time and time again that they don't care in the slightest about their customers :\ It's a real shame, because like you said, it only encourages them to continue such behavior :c
My biggest fear being a very blunt and incredibly open person socially is that I will get a big ticket commission from someone and they will treat me poorly. That would only lead to me confronting them and sadly I don't have the emotional patience to then deal with them either continue their bad behavior, treating others the same, or even more so just straight up taking my money and not giving me anything in return.
I normally let artists know if they are doing a good job, if I really like a piece I'll encourage them. Normally this also encouraged back, they thank me and such. The off chances I have had though, I got told off by a couple people which was very frustrating.
So now I just kind of stay to myself and only reach out to people who I feel would never react in such a cunt-ish manner.
Also I don't think I've ever mentioned it but I do love the work you have done and I do love your fursona :3 lol.
But besides that, if you follow artists for a bit you generally can know what the process will be like!
I guess it's always a bit of a risk at first though, shrug!
But seeing i rarely support people in the first place i tend to go for those i find are the nicest and most reasonable. Fame are of no interest for me.
Getting emotions and personal opinion mixed up with money is never a wise thing to do.
Just remember you are paying someone for a service, that is it.
If you have not paid them then do not expect anything.
If your complaining about having to pay for something move along and stop complaining.
If you are buying something from them you deem them worthy of your hard earned cash for a product you desire.
They are not going to be your friend, they are not going to give you free stuff, they are not going to chat when you when you say hi. (Do not care if others have done otherwise I am talking about High Quality Artists.)
My 2 cents
However, it's the same fact about commissions. Once, I truly wanted a commession from a good artist, probably overbooked. But at the first contact I've realized that he was either a jerk or in a very bad mood. So I've decided to not proceed with the commission, and I will certainly not make a good advertising for him.
