I am so mad.
I tried to submit two pictures to FA, only to find that I can't submit any artwork in Bitmap format.
The problem is, that's the only format I know how to use.

It's probably a good idea that most websites don't use/allow .BMP format. The picture of mine you favorited a few hours ago would have been 2 megabytes as a bitmap (instead of a 100K JPG). The full-size version I worked on to make that picture was 24MB.
If you are concerned about compression affecting your pictures, the PNG format (also supported by IrFanView and FA) allows loss-less compression, although you have to keep an eye on the way you use it, as PNG can also produce horribly bloated files. Most of the time, converting to JPG will work just fine.
