You can resize it and save it as another file, such as .png to upload onto the site. It doesn't have to be a perfect 400x600. I resized mine to be 400 in height (because they are taller than they are wide) which makes the width somewhere in the mid 200's, which is totally fine. I think they just make it able to be 600 wide in case people have wings or big tails or something :3

I worked on mine first before resizing that way I could see all the little details as I was coloring/editing. Made it easier. :3

That seems more legit. I am trying to add wings to the saber base with a large tail and horns but it wont do what I want it to do. That shading might be beyond my skill level! XD!!!!!

They are really picky about it too. It has to have a certain skill lvl before they will add it onto the sight. Not going to give up though :P!!!!! Thank you very much for replaying!

Omg, I know! I recently altered one of the large cat bases to try and make it look like a Chinese Guardian Lion (AKA Foo Dog). While I could sketch everything up, and even outline, I just couldn't get the shading ;A; And I didn't want my edits to stick out. So I found someone who was taking Paintie commissions (and is better at shading than I am) and am currently paying them to shade for me, LOL.

Small edits I can handle.. large ones, apparently not.

Gonna color and add in my other edits myself.. just couldn't get the darn hair to look even and on-par with the rest of the base!

Yeah! How much are you paying them to do the edits? I mean mine is a huge edit to do rofl!!! I love foo dogs, they are what made my name the way it is haha. My gaming name is jadeshishi. XD!!!


I cant wait to see what it is gonna come out like. I am gonna do a wip of what i was thinking and attempt to see if i can get it shaded right by using already built bases and going from there. :) Not to mention I understand the not wanting the edits to stick out. I dont want mine sticking out either!

<3!!!! I go 10 uploads :D so I think ill focus on my first 4 as I attempt to get a construction working going. I got 2 explorers, a herb (that i might change as I really dont need herb) and an Animal Husbandry. I dont really need them as I want to get a few more villagers going to expand. I just wanted to get some cute little animals!

They do recolors for $5 and then tack on more depending on what edits you need and the complexity of them. I outlined and base-colored my edits, just needed them shaded, so she charged me $10 because it's so much. But I think it'll be worth it. :3 It's on here, if you want to check her out.

Yeah, that's how I did my first one! I just pieced together different bases so all I had to do was a little bit of shading/blending to smooth things out. Worked really well for me! Unfortunately, I couldn't do that with the foo, lol. There weren't enough curly-haired things to steal from so I had to draw it myself. Your gaming name is awesome, though! I have a slight addiction with foo dogs, lol. I have tons of statues scattered around my room :P They're just so cute!

Oh wow! I have 4 character so far. One for exploring, one's a warrior, just made a blacksmith (so I can make and repair my own weapons!) and one in animal husbandry. Still trying to figure out the animal one. I've domesticated a few things but am trying to get a 2nd of the opposite gender so I can figure out how breeding goes :P

What do you think? I am trying to use bases already they got going. It is a little easier to work from then doing your own artwork and trying to copy their blending. I already added a few fluffs and a whole new claw on the foot. XD!!!! It might not look right though...
