So it turns out I'm a Furry! And I'm so excited about it....
... but that's not going to come to a huge shock since I'm on FA!
Ever since finding the fandom a few years ago (and then inadvertently forgetting about it and returning a few months ago) I'm blown away about how many intricacies, stories, artwork and just general creative awesomeness that's going on here. I was so scared to tell people that I was into anthropomorphism/feral artwork as I thought that my BF and best friend would think I was REALLY strange, like even more strange than they know....plus I was worried they would think I was instantly involved in the sexual aspect of the fandom - not to say there's anything wrong with it AT ALL but you know what non-Furs can be like and my friend even admitted she thought it was just a fetish!
It's crazy the stigma that the fandom has suffered but I think that's starting to dissipate now and with more and more people being open about what the fandom is about as a WHOLE.
I knew from the start that my Fursona was a fox - my favourite animal since childhood and I just feel a connection with these animals. She's a hacker fox who is amazing at all things technology....a bit like myself! I'm a huge computer nerd so I thought I should incorporate it into her character. Still working on the intricacies of her personality but I love love love having a Fursona!
I love being a furry, I love this fandom and I hope to become more involved as time progresses.....
