Hmm... Icons are a great idea, but I'm not sure if the interest would be that high since a lot of your watchers should have Icons already...
It is an Idea, yeah, but how about some kind of raffle, or a contest? With something bigger as price, so more people actually are interested? Or something like this? ^^

I do not know if a big project would have a lot of interest. I do not have too much watchers :D
If you prefer to raffle for your current watchers only, you could also do a mix, like as exaple 2 prices, 1 open for all watchers (including new ones), and 1 for "old" watchers exclusively ^^
Your Art is awesome, and I guess a raffle could get you some attention ^^
Or maybe you could go for multiple "classes" of prizes, like 1 big one, 2 medium ones and 3 small ones or sth like that
