I have a question... Does the badge have to be cut in a square? Or can it be round or some other shapes?

I was thinking a circle, about three and a half to four inches in diameter (or a size you think mite look good, given the design, I forget how big the others at fwa were), with 6 spikes(sized to fit the circle size), equally spaced?
I have a simple design I want to go on it, my personal insignia, it wont take up alot of space and I can shittly draw it for you. To me, thats a badge thats worth $40, or maybe even a little more.

the sizes the badges were 2.5 by 4, get me the pic and I can take a look at it, most likely it will be np to do up

Stupid windows cut off a spike or two when I flipped it useing the image viewer, but heres the basic idea.

Not bad for only having a ruler and a coaster I set my drink on to work with. The two spikes in the center need a bit more inner curve, and I couldn't put a border around the outside cause I couldn't find a larger coaster, or a compass lol. Think of it as a no smoking sign with more than one, fancy looking slash. And I think I like 8 spikes over 6 now that I draw it. then again it would depend on the size of the spikes vers the size of the badge, which the spikes should remain brass, around what I remember as being black for the fill in for the etching. I also think I like a three and a half inch diameter with half inch spikes, that takes up about the same about of space in square inches, as the 2.5x4in badges do, not counting the spikes. Is that ok?

ok so you want spikes on the edges I an do will take 3 baths in acid to eat the brass, I know made a brass ring for the back of my psp.

Yeah, pretty much, the badge shape should be a circle, with spikes, then with the design on it as a sorta simple background for the actual badge artwork, which doesn't have to be full body if you'd prefer it differently.
