I love to rp! I'm pretty open for most types haha but I've been craving post apocalyptic fantasy themes lately.

It's been so long for me that I'm kind of just craving whatever, haha. In the past I've been in lots of fandom-based ones, pokejinka groups, digimon groups, harvest moon groups, fantasy, sci-fi, military, school life, hell even a sex hotel one. I think the most I've been in were fantasy ones though XD

Yeah, some pokemon can be really hard to gijinka lol. I used to be in a group a long time ago where not only did you have to have a pokejinka, but their outfit had to fit in with feudal japan. For some pokemon I was really grasping at straws for attire! X'D

OH jeez! I mean, feudal japan was very limited on the outfit front so I can see why you would have a problem! But your art is very awesome so I'm sure any you made were great!

Yeah, that's what I was also worried about. I know making a DA for people might be a bigger hassle than an rp group is worth for a lot of people, and then some people just don't like DA for one reason or another but it does have the best roleplay setup I've ever seen in action. More engaging than even dedicated rp forum websites. The ability to not only decorate elaborate splash pages for a group but also a system that shares everyone's group art to everyone's inbox gives everyone a chance to be in the know with each other's characters and their stories/activities.

I recommended Discord because it's super easy to get it, and you don't even have to download the app if you don't want to, it works in browsers too. And art for the group you post could be put onto your FA, and you can simply link your art in the discord chat and all comments and faves and such could go straight back to your FA submission. Then, unlike DA there's no PG 13 requirement so things can get mature if people want it to and there's even voice chat. The only downside in comparison to DA is that Discord is only a chat program, so I wouldn't be able to put up flashy banners all over it but I could at least put up links to important resources like maps, uniform designs, race/class references, etc.

That, and posted art does not guarantee people in the group will see it as much, but idk, it's a lesser thing ^^;

Ah I've used skype for my fair share of rping too! I usually use it for private rps only while I was in rp groups on DA. It might be harder to organize an rp group solely on skype than it would be for discord, that's my current concern with it D:

once you're signed in and set up a story/place than you can choose an icon/picture for each story. Since you can sign up for 2-3 different stories you want icons to match those. If I remember correctly.

But yeah, art isn't a HUGE thing but you can make it that way. You can host a rp thing with people on here and just have those people enter the story. Than post links to art/character.

Skype/telegram rper here with a past experience of tumblr rp that I no longer recommend lmao. There's board sites too but it's mostly seemimg that people will rp anywhere these days so I'd get your interested party together then ask where everyone would be most comfortable and what format to use etc

Haha, I was wondering about tumblr but I'm a real noob when it comes to tumblr's interface. I do like that you can customize the shit out of it though but I'm also afraid of some of the negative people that site attracts D:

Anyways lol, the kind of rp group I'm looking for is more like one you apply to be in rather than gathering a group and being like "hey let's do this". The main reason is that I just don't know anyone on here, so it would be like taking a shot in the dark if I gathered random people. Being able to go over applications would also ensure some kind of quality control. The art quality is irrelevant (unless it's like, someone applying with a techno-mermaid princess in a normal school life group or something, lol) but making sure everyone is on the same or similar roleplaying level will encourage people to rp with more than just their favorite partner.

I'm probably rambling but yeah, that's more like what I had in mind! (sorry if I was rambling aaaa;;) o(-<

I used to RP waaaay back. I'm probably very rusty now. I used to RP a lot of Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Medieval themes. Was great fun. Maybe someday I'll RP again. Its just a case of finding people who want to have an intellectual RP and not just respond with one liners and try turning it into something kinky. The story needs to be well developed and interesting for any romance.

In the community itself, I've given up on attempting decent interaction for most. Whatnot being either profile spam, (Massive list of characters, their ASFO on their page, which groups they're apart of, ect.) or downright being dickish or mundane in general. I don't mind conversations with others, though if anyone had attempted very meager proportions in relation to their Rp recipient? The velocity is in their favor, because the story is shifting just that swiftly.

Websites are kind of balls up the walls about that sort of stuff. After having been banned in the past from activities concerning multiple accounts, [Supposedly from the same Ip, Address. Later figured out that it was someone using the same computer.] on a particular website. I've stayed away from anything Nsfw for quite some time, and it's very select. Hoping to come to terms that in the event of an Rp group that it wouldn't descend into that sort of spectrum.

Because, honestly. I'm just looking forward to joining a group dedicated (Not, To porn. Tease or private adventures? Sure, fine. Whatever. But just not in the overall adventure. .-.) or at least inclined towards regular meet ups and being motivated to do so. This is by far the most energetic thing that I've been waiting for in regards/reforms of actually putting forth effort towards an RP. (If it's anything goes or just an RP in general.)

Speaking of which, what kind Would it be?

Haha well I was just asking in general what genres and themes that people here liked, because I didn't want to make something only to have no one be interested in it ^^;

But for me personally? idk, right now I'm kind of feeling an itch for something that feels adventure-y, like how Megaman Legends or the Little Tail Bronx (Tail Concerto, Solatorobo) game series felt. So, something like a world where there's a boom of adventurers, explorers, treasure hunters, bounty hunters, bandits and sky pirates and stuff. Maybe there's a legendary treasure everyone is searching for, idk XD. It kind of sounds like One Piece too.

But yeah that's just because of what kinds of things I've been into lately. If people are looking for something else then I'd have to think about a different setting, but I do mostly enjoy a good fantasy setting~

I'm usually used to a system where people have to apply to be in the group, at least that's how most of them do things on DA. There are usually scheduled openings where people send in applications showing their character's design and their info, which is usually a filled in form based on something the group provides. This ensures that people who end up in the group have characters that fit well within the group's setting and rules, don't look overpowered and the bio is written in a way that you can tell they would be a decent roleplayer and their slot in the group would not be wasted.

In terms of keeping it together, that's going to be tricky. I don't know anyone really so I'm not sure who to trust who is both interested in the group and in putting effort forward to moderate things and help put up journals and updates and help make assets and whatnot. Either way it looks like this wouldn't be something I'd be likely to try and organize anytime soon. :c

I absolutely LOVE to RP, but I don't do it with anybody. I only do it with people I know beforehand. I am also a little bit picky about how they write. Has to be the lowest version of "standard". Propper spelling, (spellchecking dosn't need to be perfect) and usage of punctuations.

I like RPing but it's been so long since I found an appropriate partner. Just... nobody clicked. ;w; I love world building and character creation. It's my constant love in life and I'm constantly building worlds so I need someone that likes that. I've played dungeon master before for a few friends and it was glorious but this was when I was little lmao. I just want to test my skill now that I'm older and the worlds have grown with me. Man it's hard though.

Personally I like fantasy simply because it gives so much freedom in many ways. The idea of something like magic being able to create anything with only limited rules or creatures that are only limited by the imagination really gets me going. Factions can be made as a side story quest in a fantasy setting really easily and gives some push and pull to the world. It also speaks of cultures since factions are often created by different cultures (either religious or state).

Honestly I know nothing about Discord and will have to look it up but I would have to suggest DA either way. As you said the customization is great for a web sight like that. You can really set a mood for the whole story/world just at a glance with the groups front page on DA.

tldr: Fantasy is the way to go because of freedom of creation (at least to me it is), DA for customization.

I hecking love RPing man, I used to RP so much but so much drama?? I made some serious forever friends doing it tho. I personally suggest using Proboards for a site! That's where my friends and I used to have a huge Warriors RP going, and it's easy to organize threads and junk!

I've been thinking about making or joining a rp group myself, but I've never done it before. I usually rp with just one friend over the years on QQ International (I wouldn't recommend this IM anymore because I think they discontinued updating it), but I used an odd method of rping. I didn't know the correct way to do it until years later. I'm still working on it and also gain the courage to speak to other people.

I'm in the mood for something like .hack// and Summer Wars. But I can get into anything with action, adventure, and exploration.

I like the idea of role playing I just have trouble getting into character and I'm extremely rusty at it XD

But it seems like a really fun idea I wouldn't mind trying <3

Roleplaying is really fun. Not sure what else I can add to the table, but just ground rules. Turn order is always important, but it's a real strain if that one guy looses interest or is away because of some unforeseen circumstance.

Establishing rules and turn order is important I think. What's nice is with discord, you can have a few rooms going. List the rules in the header, even turn order. The setting and such.

I enjoy being a teacher in a school setting. Sci-fi is nice, but that can be too open ended, and "godmoding" can occur, which is certainly distasteful. I'm open for what ever.
