Regarding artists and their work commitments/sketch streams

I was going to make a little rant regarding all the things related to sketch streams but.. I think I'll keep it incredibly simple this time:
If you're an artist and already have work to do, for the love of god give them some priority. You've already been paid to, or at least been in theory 'scheduled' to work for someone else.
I can't count the number of times some person who's got a drowning waiting list somehow happens to have the time to have 3-4 full days worth of sketch streams and does not appear to finish a 'full piece' faster than once per month. It's just so unethical in my eyes, and it's just so much worse if you're one of those people waiting as you just see everyone else 'skip the line' if they find these streams.
I personally liked sketch streams too until I realised so many artists who do them often are in the same boat of 'I have 20 people waiting for me but I can make instant extra cash on here'. It's kinda.. ew. :c
I mean, yes I understand everyone's got their own schedule and it can help pay bills, but I think there's a difference between "I kinda need some money now" and doing it constantly over and over again just because you can.

Some people don't know how to be professionals...
The attitude you see with sketch streams, it's exactly that: a lack of professionalism. Those artists either need the money or they just do this for fun. They don't realise they entered a contract that they need to respect. The delivery on a timely manner is a given. This is why I ask the artists for an idea on when the piece will be completed (I usually mention a month to give them leeway). Usually it works as they know I will be breathing down their necks soon.
i personally take sketches and small commissions in between all my larger ones to make sure i still have money coming in, but i get larger things done at the same time.
that being said, i could make a LIST of artists who just DONT work on their art like they should. people who are always doing new things with no work at all on their queue.
like, taking 5 new commissions when all thats left on an old one is like, shading or something.
i, personally, at LEAST work a little bit on owed work, even in my sketch streams.
I can name a few who literally have 'waiting lists' or 'queues' of 20+ people waiting and still do mostly 'paid sketch streams', It kinda makes me feel both sad and disgusted since it kills my uh.. art-boner for them :c
i have also removed a few people from my 'get art from' list because of that.
one 'popufur' artist in particular took 8 months to even get a WIP sketch to me, and it was wrong, and when i asked for edits, it took another month to hear back.
but the whole time, this person was putting out personal art and other commissions.
i was like 'ok i jsut want my money back' lol
