I've been wondering what kinds of animals you're allowed to keep as a pet. I know you're allowed to keep ferrets and squirrels, and the usual dog and cat, but what about something like otters (there are some species that aren't in danger, which I learned from the IUCN Web site; I also heard that some people have kept otters as pets before)?
