I need input: what should I write?
So I have been thinking of taking up writing again, but this time I don't want to just write weird fetish pornography. I wanted to do something different, and I've got a few good ideas on what I would be doing. This project would be the single biggest undertaking I have ever done, and will likely undergo quite a few changes before anything is finalized, and even after I've got the story down, it is highly likely to undergo several edits before I'm through with it. Here is what I have so far as far as inspiration
Characters: SO! I'm reviving a few older characters of mine, and bringing in some heavy inspiration from characters I've made in tabletop RPGs such as dungeons and dragons, pathfinder and dark heresy. The character pool I have to draw from is pretty decent, but I'm open to, and in fact encourage cameo appearances from a few friends.
World: I have a few ideas here, and this is where I need the post input. I am torn between 3 worlds. the EXTREME basic story line(remember, this is subject to change) involves a cleric on pilgrimage, a search for said cleric by an old friend, the hiring of a mercenary to assist in finding her all while shit may or may not be going down. I'm thinking of telling a chapter or two in each character's perspective, and then having the characters slowly meet up all throughout the story until everyone is together at the end, when the final showdown can take place.
- Idea 1: a space opera involving travel between several different planets and an inquisition-like order playing the role of main villains
- Idea 2: a more classic story taking place in a more medieval setting
- Idea 3: More of a steampunk inspired world, not my first choice but certainly an option
the world/setting is where I'm stuck, I've got most of the rest down. What do you guys think?

Well, that is one vote for steampunk! I can always do a mix of any two of them of course, such as medieval with steampunk elements, or future steampunk, etc.
