Nursing was the perfect job for Jolyn Ferguson. You'd expect a nurse to be caring, empathetic and patient and that was exactly what she was to her core. Jolyn touched so many lives and created bonds with so many people, even with those who lived across the country and across the globe. She was a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on and never hesitated to get a little silly when she felt you needed a good laugh. More than anything, she was strong. She overcame more in her short lifetime than many ever will. When she made up her mind, she could do anything.
I can say without any doubt that she was one of the most influential and well known artists in our online community. Silverwing was one of the first artists anyone entering the group met. We grew up together. Her mark on the internet will always go on through the little influences that rubbed off in our drawings and characters.
I've never met a person like Jolyn and I'm very certain I won't find another like her. She had such a passion for things- art, her patients, her fandoms, animals, her friends. She put 100 percent into everything she had going on in her life.
My heart goes out to everyone who is missing her right now, from her family to her friends. We all love you Jolyn, you were truly one of a kind.
