Finding games from different stores at different prices

I love that feeling when your prey is kicking in your gut.
A.K.A The Benefits of Shopping around.
Back a while ago, when the PS3 was still relatively new I had a basic PS1 and a crapload of games.
However when the PS3 and Wii came out (wiiU wasn't out yet) it began to gather dust. Using the flawed logic that since the newer versions of the PS3(which was the one I owned) couldn't play PS2 games and that the PS1 (playstation) was older than the PS2 than the PS3 couldn't play PS1 games.
I sold off my PS1, games and memory cards at a garage sale along with my collection of games, I didn't care for most of them but there were at least seven which I owned which became cult classics and are now worth a lot more money NOW then they were when they first came out.
After I realized my mistake (the PS3 can play PS1 game disks just fine but not PS2 disks which doesn't make much business sense) I've been going after the games I didn't want to let go of, that includes both megaman legends games and all three digimon world games. Thus far I managed to get my digimon world one game at a decent price. And also snatched up the Legend of Dragoon used.
Now here's where the title of my journal comes in. On amazon I was aiming to reclaim my monster rancher 2 game, big surprise the game at any reasonable condition was roughly around $50 not including shipping. Then I remembered Gamestop sold retro games. Turns out they have it at $30 and I get a $3 discount for being a rewards member. They also have all my Spyro games at $20 a piece+ discount.
So i'm going to be busy rebuilding my game collection from the ground up....this might take awhile as i'm leery about cost even with these good prices I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
