Last weekend a huge storm passed over my home in Louisiana. Baton Rouge and Livingston parish reported +3 feet of rainfall in just 3 days. Over 100,000 people are reported homeless, two of those people are my parents. I was lucky and had no major flooding in my area, but now I'm cut off from my parents and while I can talk to them over the phone, I can't help but worry as I can't see them or help them. I have lived here all my life and survived several Hurricanes, but this event was far worse. I sit by, helpless, waiting for the waters to recede.
