so after my existential crisis. a friend in seattle was quiting his job as prep cook at a pizza place and offered it to me.

since I'm already working i asked if my machoke could do it. it was an easy enough job so even with bens limited experience in it. i knew he could pick it up. well my friend asked his boss n okaid it.

what surprised me is he was hired on the spot. no interview no application. just my recommendation and my friends words. it kinda took us aback a bit. we were so used to going to interview n getting denied. n here he gets the job without even applying?! we thought it was too good to be true.

he went in Thursday for training. i had to take him since he didn't know the route heh.

the place was pretty nice. clearly not a chain probably why it was easy to get the job. he did about 6 hours of training and too my relief. not only was able to do everything. but liked it!! he starts soon with 30 hours a week at minimum wage.

ONTOP OF THAT since now hes working 5 days a week we cant stay in the shed anymore. sooo the friend that got him this job. also has a roomate leaving his house soon.... sooo he offered it to us at a pretty good price especially for being so close to downtown seattle (beacon hill) and the room will actually be ready at the end of this month!!

so yus long story short. someone up there exists and was listening because now were moving out of the shed!!! one step closer to financial stability n indipendance! lets hope the momentum keeps up~!


also as an aside. been thinking about going back to school. not for animation. something more practical n in demand. like carpentry or electrician. i have somewhat experience flipping houses. (mexican, mexican father, handy man for a bro in law) and my other bro in law is an electrician. so i do have that going for me. i recall liking it really. so yeah kinda kinking about learning a practical trade so i can make some decent money and not want to kill myself lol.
