I don't know where you got the idea that furries were open and accepting, but I'm sure your journey to the FA forums has beaten that out of you.

Cubs/babyfurs are despised by the rest of the fandom. They'll scream and shout about how furry's not beastiality, then turn around and say all babyfurs are pedos without recognizing the irony.

I thought that because most of the people I've met on the main FA site have been friendly and accepting. It's one of the reasons I joined the fandom... but now I know better, I guess!

But don't mind them. They hate because they feel shitty about themselves. Like one of my friends once said - I'd rather have a friend who was insane and happy about it, than a sorta insane friend who would try to hide it. Most furs that are extremists about that stuff are actually into it anyways, and they're ashamed of it. I bet at least a quarter of the guys that spammed you with hate masturbate to the thought of cubs.
I am into animals and I once thought that since furries are just human-animal mix, a lot of people would share that interest with me. But nope, and I can see how they would not like it, but they just were hatehatehatehatehatehate... I could go on and on, but I will say one more thing. A lot of them are psycho - my mate told a guy he was mated to me and that guy told him he was gonna shoot himself or jump off something and he sent me many death threats.
I think the only reason for that is the bad media attention made the misfits come into furry land. Bleh.

Oh yeah, the thread got deleted so I guess that thread now fills the boots of the number the thread I was talking about once filled. (Wow, could I have put that in a more confusing way?) =P
