Watching it felt like a wonderful cross between the Jungle Book and HTTYD.
Definite highlights of this film were the flying bits (Elliot is way clumsier than a sleek nightfury, but has a charm to his swaying style of flight), also Elliot scooping up and holding Pete close to his fuzzy warm chest.

I don't think there's enough flight time to warrant an IMAX watch, but I would think those bits are amazing (watched in 2D myself)
Felt the same way about Lizard from andrew garfield's spiderman >w>
Lost some teeth along the way... and also, is covered in boogers.
