Well.. Ghostbusters: The Video Game is out in 4 days and I simply can't wait! I am a HUGE Ghostbusters fan - I have all the original toys and action figures, both original movies on DVD as well as The Real Ghostbusters (animated cartoon series) on DVD..
For those who aren't aware.. Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a game coming out for the PS3, Wii, X Box 360, PC, PS2, and Nintendo DS.. and was written by original Ghostbusters writers and creators Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis..
According to Aykroyd, the game is essentially the third movie in the series until Ghostbusters 3: The Movie is released to theaters in 2011... with a budget of over 90 million dollars, this game is definitely not a shitty attempt at cashing in on the franchise.. this game is serious.
Not only does it look damn amazing and is a true eye candy game for fans of the Ghostbusters.. but it also has some great acting talent which signed in for the game: Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, Annie Potts, Brian Doyle Murray, and William Atherton to name a few..
I can't wait to strap on my proton pack and zap some ghosts in the ECTO-1! I have been waiting for this games release for ages and ages and have been following the story of the game since it's supposed original release in October 2007 by Sierra (now Vivendi Universal) .. obviously that never happened..
But it happens now.. and in four days... So.. on June 16th, 2009.. who you gonna call?? Or better yet.. what you gonna play? .. I know what I'm gonna play... GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
