This last weekend marked Furry Migration's 3rd year. I feel that the con is slowly starting to fill the big shoes of such a grand venue downtown after moving out of the Thunderchicken (R.I.P.)

The con was decent overall. Cut Throat Artist was really quite fantastic! I hope it comes back next year. The hotel is lovely, and of course being downtown provides plenty of night time entertainment.

One thing bothered me that I hope is greatly improved next year: From a fursuiting perspective it was really lackluster. The con space is extremely isolated. There was nowhere to go, nothing to keep people in the con space for any extended period of time. I felt like getting all dressed up was a bit of a waste to make the 200ft walk to the end of the hall and back. Next year the con will be moving from the 4th to the 2nd floor which means the escalator will go directly to the lobby from the con space. There is also an overlook down into the lobby area. It's my hope that that will encourage more fursuits to roam between the con space and the hotel lobby more freely because that's something I really enjoy about furcons. Roaming around as a big fluffy critter.
