Westin is a nice hotel. Connects right to the convention center. Also drink tons of water. Lot of fursuiters so be careful around them because some heads have a varying field of view.

The website, Anthrocon.org, has a map of the area and surrounding hotels as well as lots of information on the con itself. Westin's pretty convenient, but there's always a LONG line for the elevators, so you gotta be okay taking stairs; on the other hand, if you don't mind a few blocks' walk, the Omni is a good hotel, albeit a bit of an expensive one. Also, hotel booking for the con starts around January, easier to book a room then, otherwise you'll have your hands full looking for an open place around the time of the con, trust me. >.>;;
As for the con itself, bring a fair amount of spending cash alongside needed expenses; you're gonna need/want it. :3
