when it comes to the biting, I've been told that not reacting means they learn it doesn't hurt you, and so they do it less. I was told this about cats, not dogs, though. The chewing's unfortunate but it's just going to happen while they're teething. Good luck with it.

Since my sister took care of our dog and we got ours when i had still been very young,i am not 100% sure, but try to teach the dog not to chew on certain things, but also give the puppy something he/she can chew on,like a toy or something,it trains their teeth and is important for them,they just need to learn what to chew on and what not to chew on.. If you keep them busy they are too tired to chew on things as well, so someone needs to play with the puppy alot i think,depending on the breed..

Not much you can do to calm the puppy down though, he/she needs to learn that you are not enemies, it will take a while but the puppy will get used to being in a new place, maybe try to pet the puppy every now and then, or if he/she doesn't want that,just leave them be for a while, the puppy just came into a new place full of strangers, its normal he/she is a little stressed..
