Updates and stuff (patreon, artstuffs, school, name change?)
Soooooo, it's been a while since i last posted some stuff, so here's a quick update:
Last weekend, i went to the Elfia Fantasy Fair at the Castlegardens in Arcen. It was my first time in a fullsuit, so i was a bit nervous at the start, because i didn't really practice or anything beforehand. Also i wasn't sure if i brought enough water with me and i was really afraid that i'd lock up due to shyness. >.<
But it seems that i didn't have to worry at all. ^^ I just did whatever i wanted to, acting goofy and silly and stuff, it was great! I'm still looking for pictures of me at the fair (ones without me hugging kids, as i'm not sure i'm comfortable posting those). I really hope someone made a photo or video of me running away from an alien and having a growling contest with two badass Khajit. I had a great day meeting people, messing around, listening to music and just everything about the fair. ^^
As some of you might know, i've been saving up for a laptop, because i can't draw that often because my little bother is on the computer all the time, watching youtube videos and playing my games... Grrrrrrr >.< But anyway, i thought that it might be a good idea to get patreon or something so that you can help me getting a laptop. The sooner i get one, the earlier i can work on making more art for you to enjoy. :) And i'll be working hard with a 'normal' job too. :)
School started again a few weeks ago, i'm in my last year of high school. My grades are pretty good so far and i hope they'll stay that way or improve. :) I'm also looking ahead for studies/courses that i might want to do after graduating high school. I definitely want to do something creative and definitely not an office job like administration stuff (bleh >.<). So far, game art seems fun, i'd learn about animation and designing primarily, and also a fair bit about coding. However, i also like old crafts like leatherworking and forging, but those aren't real studies over here. I might do a couple of small courses on the side or teach myself with the internet. :P
Also, the university with the game art study is far away enough that i'd need a room, so that would also give me a bit more freedom to be myself and dress and do what i want ^^
Now, the last item, also in the "be myself" category. A few of you know that i'm trans (for those who don't know what that is: it basically that you feel like the other sex). With the help of my friends, i've been slowly but surely becoming more accepting about it towards myself. Enough that i'm willing to say it here.
So i think it'd be nice to make a new account (unless there is a way of changing my username), because the "boy" in it isn't really reflecting how i feel.
But what should my new username be?
How about DustyMoonEye? I've been thinking about making Mooneye Dusty's surname, but i'm not entirely sure yet.
Anyway, i hope to hear from you what you think and that you all are doing well. :)

*snuggles close*
And woop woop for last year of high school!
Hmm... Perhaps you could name yourself Dustette! xD
Just do some self-reflecting and don't stress over it too much. The name will find you :)
Yeah, it might get a bit stressful though when it's time for the final exams xP
Dustette sounds nice, but it's a bit cliché, don't you think? And i'm faaar from cliché :3
I'll do that, and i'm well aware that this is one of those "you'll know when you see it" things
My little bother usually plays terraria or minecraft, and i always make my account appear offline so that he isn't tempted to spam my friends with random letters. >.<
Over here we have primary school (grade school) for 8 years, secondary school (high school/college) for 4 -6 years and then university/higher education, where you really start to study for a profession. It's a bit hard to explain, so i hope that that answered your question.
I said that a long while ago, but i slowly changed from genderqueer to genderfluid, and then to trans. And please, don't take me as trans, take me as a woman. :) And i am thinking about getting a sex change after or during hormone replacement therapy, but that has to start first. Which won't happen at all before i get to move out of home.
Suggestions for a surname are still welcome if you think you have one, btw
congrats on your decision. i know how hard it can be to tell others who you really are and the support needed to make such a step. one day i hope to be as strong as you to let others in my life know who i really am. im always happy to talk about stuff too. i got discord and skype so i can talk whenever im not sleeping. let me know if you want my user names.
as for the name. you will know it when you see it. my name turns out to be kind of common and bums me out a little that i dont have a unique name but i dont care. the name fits me and i like it.
I'm more leaning towards the more graphic part of games. You know, animations and stuff. But i will learn some basic coding too. But what is a QA position?
There is a big difference between making a decision, telling it on the internet and telling that decision face-to-face to the people you've been living with all your life. I'm really scared and nervouss about telling it to my family, because they're the most narrow-minded, homophobic, xenophobic and racist assholes that i know. To them, all trans people are "crazy men that like to wear dresses". I've been trying (almost desperately) to make them more tolerant about that stuff, but at the same time i know that it's foolish hope that they'll ever change... v.v
yea its a very big difference from telling people on the internet vs telling people in real life. For the last 2 weeks ive been searching for the right time to tell my mom everything. shes the most open minded and understanding so ill use that to test the waters. Sorry to hear that about your family but just stay strong.
opps was suppose to be a reply to your comment but i guess this works lol
I hope for you that the time of telling will come soon, and that it'll go well. And thanks for your support, i really appreciate it :)
But still, i'm happy for you :)
