Oh man, so I wanted to try and do a 50's themed YCH and I was looking up pictures of Diners and I suddenly came across a single image of THIS place.
Peggy Sue's is somewhere in between Las Vegas, and Ontario, California. When my mom and I lived in Vegas, we would drive down to Cali to visit family or when she would drop me off with my grandma for the summer. And EVERY time we went one way or the other, we'd stop off at Peggy Sue's. The trip itself was 4 hours long, so it was mostly just to stretch our legs and use the bathroom, but we'd always wind up eating there too.
It was the first place I ever had fried pickle spears, and the only place I've ever seen that has them. Everyone else has fried pickle chips and they somehow aren't as good.
Maaaaan I want to go to Peggy Sue's now. The atmosphere is so much fun! They have a outdoor dinosaur park in the back and a fun little souvenir shop.
It's literally just this diner out in the middle of nowhere, and it was ALWAYS busy.
