Stop Asking
Making a big deal about this because all of a sudden I'm getting asked this question twice a week and I'm fucking sick of it, so I'm gonna make a big deal out of this once and hopefully maybe people will read my page.
So here goes.
No one is entitled to ask about the status of my characters. No one is entitled to ask me if I will sell any characters that aren't listed in a trade/sale journal. I use these a lot and I use them well. If I am willing to part with a character, they will be in in the trade/sale journal. Otherwise I am not going to part with them.
It is incredibly rude, entitled, and disrespectful to ask someone if they will sell a character they own, or to ask "what are the chances of doing this in the future." Even if this is a character I purchased, it does not give anyone the right to ask this. Its rude and tiring as hell.
Specifically, do not ask if Jax http://sta.sh/01commqsxspe and Hellequin http://sta.sh/01ke549kz39d are for sale or trade. One is a sona and the other is my business mascot so no, they will never be for sale or trade. I don't care how much someone likes them or how many thousands of dollars they might be willing to offer me.
I have had the "don't ask me about this" rule on my page in bright red for years now. Today I got someone who read these rules, told me they read these rules, and asked anyways.
So I'm done. Amnesty is over. If you ask me about the trade/sale status of any characters, especially Hellequin or Jax, that aren't in a trade/sale journal, you're getting blocked.
I'm angry that I've had to take time out of my day and away from my grad school work to have to address something like having some fucking respect about my characters.

Hey I really like this character, is there any chance you might be able to design something for me?
Why would anyone ask such things? I mean I have seen people put up selling characters before and said if you see a character just ask. Some of them the artist said. Oh well I don't want to sell that one right now. That is fine. I am sorry you are getting harassed about this. Really, they should just ask you to design something they can pay for or do something similar themselves out of inspiration.
