This has been a real problem for a long while now: people contacting me for the sole purpose of getting through to a friend of mine (always a friend who is a popular artist or writer).

You want to talk to me, fine, talk to me. But if you have some alternate agenda then you can seriously stick a nail covered bat up your ass cuz i'm fucking done with this. STOP! JUST FUCKING STOP!!!
Yeah, I know that it's hard to get in contact with a busy artist when you wanna hire them or give them gift art or whatever reason you have but that's tough luck, son. If you want to get to know these people then you'll have to do it like i did: treating them like a person. Much unlike how you treat me when you want to use me for my connections when you don't even know a fucking thing about me.
just.... *grumbles* I'm a person, not a means to an end. Anybody who treats me as a means is gonna get one chance to apologize. If they do not apologize then i block them. Simple as that.

I do usually (and honestly) ask how the others are doing, but then that's it.
People are stupid to not let to know you better as well since they are contctint you in person.
It's just plain rude.
