Why I joined the Furry Community

Well, Hi there.
Looks like you have stumbled across my journal. Thanks! ^.^
I'm gonna begin by saying that I'm not very good in Journal writing and I'm only 15.
I live in Australia with my mum and my sister using a crappy HP computer (2GB of RAM, AMD Integrated Graphics) and this keyboard does not work correctly at times.
So, if you find any spelling and/or grammar mistakes, please correct me.
OK. Lets begin.
Hi, my name is Aaron and I'm 15.
My fursona is DigiTails. A version of Tails (yes, the Miles "Tails" Prower that we have all known to love) that is part digital (which means I can do all sorts of stuff with electronic devices..... hehehe)
I joined the furry community since, well, I wanted to join a community that didn't want to keep me locked in
I also joined since the furry community is wide and open.
I was first introduced to furry paraphernalia by watching the Backyardigans when I was younger and Regular Show when I was about 14.
I found those shows to be awesome, and I specifically liked Mordecai, since well, he's a anthropomorphic character, same with Rigby.
My BF (yes, I am bisexual)
wildfoxxo is awesome, he's the one that helped me join the fandom. Love you dude <3
After doing some research, I found that the media likes to make fun of us furries. Make people criticise what we do. (a lot of news outlets do this.)
About a few months later, I found this site from a friend who is also a furry. (Eric Mason)
I had a look at this site, and well, signed up. I haven't visited this site before, so I had no idea what it was going to be like, I thought it was gonna be like a forum board where people are gonna have a go at each other with no technical help or report buttons whatsoever. But, its not like that.
Whenever I feel Stressed Out (haha, Twenty One Pilots reference) I always, always, always come here to have a look at some of the most awesome artwork by people, listen to the music people have made (which is top notch. I have a non-fur friend who is interested in DJ stuff, he's already got a Launchkey and he says that the music on this site is bloody awesome) which helps me chill out for a while and make me just forget about life for a while.
The furry community is a awesome place. You can be yourself. I have no idea why people like to make fun of us, call us Furfags or an Autistic cult (I think they're just jealous that they don't have any friends)
And that's why I joined the community.
