So..in just under 2 weeks I'll be attending my first convention. Of any kind. Ever. Furpocalypse 2016. Excitement, anxiety, anticipation, dread, and a whole slew of other emotions running through me right now. I wouldn't even be going if a friend hadn't invited me along and offered to pay my way. The financial aspect is one of the main factors in why I've never attended a con before. The other...is that my family and many of my friends have no idea that this "side" of me even exists. Sitting silently through that infamous CSI episode was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I'd ever been through (at least at the time). And they're quite convinced that that really is the sort of thing that goes on at furry conventions. So, far as they know this is a generic video game/sci-fi/movie/"nerd" convention. Because it sorta is anyway. That's the beauty of this fandom. It's rather all-inclusive.

Anyway, I'll be at Furpoc. Anybody else?
