unfortunately to the high cost, felidire is right. if it costs any less, i'd get a million requests and wouldn't be able to do them all and it would be just too much work for one person - and trust me, i'm speaking from experience.

Thanks for the reply. I totally understand that and you're right! I hope I didn't sound offensive, I think you can get fully coloured picture for the price so it just seems a bit too much in both me as customer and artist view. BUT if it works well for you, and your customers are happy, that's ok :)

oh no, not at all, i just wanted to explain because frankly i hate that my prices are so high too and I know a lot better artists who can do two full colored pictures for the price of my one sketch, the only difference is the name brand and how established we are as artists. :)

I'll write a guide to art marketing someday <3 I know how confusing and selfish or greedy it can look when people aren't educated about marketing culture, and I would love to help people know what they can charge for their work. :D too many artists are underpaid only because we don't feel we deserve that much!

sorry for rambling, and thank you for hearing me out and understanding! you are not wrong at all, 90$ is a lot for a sketch, but it's no fun for artist or customer when you have to compete with the 50 other people who also want a 20$ sketch from a great artist.

ah, I didn't mean that you're greedy or anything like that! I'm not an expert on prices, I think you have more experience. It would be very helpfull for us if you could make a guide like this ^ ^

ah, also. I think you really grow as an artist, not only when it comes to drawing, but also when it comes to any critique or not 100% positive comments. There are many artists who are angry about this, I'm glad to see you take everything calmly and with patience. :)

no problem, there's no use in getting angry over a misunderstanding, i'd rather educate and help people be a little wiser. too many people take things personally these days. <3 thank you for your kind comments and for being a nice person to chat with, telling you how it works also helps me feel more confident in my decision, so thank you for chatting with me <3 I hope we're both a little wiser ^_^
