Neat, mine have had eggs but because of the other fish and plant needs, I don't use salt in the water, and they tend to need brackish water to reproduce.

Interesting! I didn't know they needed salt, I put it in there for the fish XD

The shrimp can live without it, but they will only successfully breed in brackish water - the salt does wonders for the fish health but I have a fully planted tank and the plants dislike salt :(.

Very true, they usually have their babies in brackish, then return to fresh water, which is why most people don't see babies. So happy to hear that some were born in fresh!

I would love to transition to a planted tank once I get more experience and a bigger tank to work with. I currently just have pothos plants with their roots submerged in the water. I haven't notice the salt effect them but they are super tough plants.
