Removing Sharpie from faux fur?

I'm taking on a mini project to fix my coworker's props (foam falling apart, handles on pins need re-gluing, etc) and one of the things I'd like to fix is the clothing on his Ded Bob puppet, which has a bit of off-white faux fur along his jacket that's been soaked in sharpie from traveling in a box with other assorted things that had it on them.
Is there any way to save it? Or will I have to replace that strip of fur? Re-sewing a new piece wouldn't be too much of an issue, but I want to see how much I can salvage first. Any advice is super appreciated!

Google suggests hand sanitizer(which matches Kara's suggestion of rubbing alcohol) and also white vinegar. I would be cautious about the vinegar since it stinks to high hell, but I think rubbing alcohol may be your best bet. The fact that it's off-white helps since you don't need it to be spotless, per se. I would still plan to replace it, worst case scenario, but it can't hurt to try!
