About the censorship of my comic.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Question: Why censor the next pages of the comic?
Answer: This comic was originally intended exclusively for patreon, for the purpose of earning a living. It is then published in Furaffinity as a bonus, so that the furry community can enjoy this comic.
Unfortunately my page patreon does not take off, and it's not enough for me to live with this money.
I am faced with a choice.
Either I completely abandons this comic, or I continuing the comic, but I have to proceed differently.
I refuse to abandon this comic. So I am forced reluctantly to censor the pages with a mature content in order to get more people on patreon.
Another reason is that people pay on patreon for each page, while the majority of people can get the same page for free on Furaffinity. This is totally illogical, and disadvantage people who pay...
Why don't you draw more pages per month? in this way, you could earn more money on patreon! Raghan, you have to be more productive!
No, it does not work like that.
On patreon, people can block the number of pages they want to pay for the artists per month. This is a safety to protect people against the swindler artists.
Imagine that I draw 50 pages in one month, and that people have wagered on the pledge to $ 30 per page, their bank account is emptied!
The reality is that the very large majority of people who finance me on patreon have blocked payment to 2 pages per month.
So if I draw 5 pages or 10 pages per month, in the end, I do not have more money than 2 pages!
The advantage is that it allows me to take the time it takes to keep the quality of my drawings.
Why not take another job in parallel , if you want money?
The drawing is my job. If I take another job in parallel, I have no more time to draw, and it's the definitive end of my gallery on Furaffinity.
In this case, taking commissions!
90% of my drawings in my gallery are commissions, since almost 10 years that I am on Furaffinity.
I'm tired of commissions, and it has been many years that I want to draw comics. I need to evolve and dedicate myself completely in the comic.
You do not develop your characters enough, the chef Tanukiruno was surprised with the mark on the forehead of Kaorh, and you have not given the answer to this intrigue. It is a forgotten?
Patience.
This is not a comic strip that will be short.
There will probably be about 50 pages in this comic, which will allow me to properly develop the story and the characters.
If the comics works, and that people want a sequel, then it will happen.
If I reveal the intrigues right from the start, so it's not interesting.
There are a lot of comics, especially in mangas, where some mysteries are unveiled 100 pages later, sometimes several albums later!
You don't have the talent or the popularity of certain artists, thus, you should not ask for money for your comic!
WTF?
At what level of quality of drawing should we judge an artist for he can deserve to make money?
There are many very talented and popular artists on Furaffinity that make comics, earn money with patreon, and censor their comics for Furaffinity.
To gain productivity, some artists have deliberately lowered the quality of their drawings, nevertheless, they have the ability to have a quality of design 1000 times higher....
For example, compare the quality of the comics by Kabier, which is different from the quality of its illustrations.
I refuse to lower the quality of my drawings. I always give priority on the quality rather than quantity and mediocrity.
I put several hours per day and days working on my comic, why I do not deserve financial support, to live?
Aside from patreon, will there be one day an uncensored version of the comic on Furaffinity?
Yes, I think that each page will appear with uncensored version on Furrafinity two months after it is published on patreon. This is a compromise: it will give an advantage to people who finance the patreon, and this will console, I hope, people who are angry and who can not pay patreon.
Raghan? Fuck you!
With pleasure! I love it! :)

I just delete the colors.
I would recommend using a slightly brighter colour for your text Raghan, it is a little difficult to read, even more so on the dark theme.
And your text is insanely difficult to read on the light theme.
is there a way to pay one time and get all pass pages of the pay time?
They are the future pages that you will pay to the unit. (1 to 2 pages per month maximum)
Your second mistake: "...for the purpose of earning a living." - So basically using Patreon as a main income rather than what it was intended for; a glorified tip jar.
Hell, it woulda been better if you made the whole comic a timed exclusive to begin with. I woulda been much more inclined to support that.
I will be honest, I've not been able to support you on patron but I have been really enjoying your work and it is a shame that the censor is so 'disruptive'? To the flow of the comic. I just wanted to suggest, could it be an idea that say instalead of a censor, you upload the line work to fa with the time delay as well and save the full coloured product for patron. I completely respect your current decision... I've just found that people given the choice would want to see the colour over the black and white- that's my own experience anyway. Any ways, sorry if I've be at all presumptuous and I wish you luck with it all. :)
*facepalm* w.. why am i doing write here!
*sigh* i... i don't say here, sry.
(Note: Pls don't reply my comment, it about my mood. ok)
"waaaah waah, give us free art, i don't care about your financial needs"
they're pathetic, and chances are they weren't planning on paying you anyway so don't worry about them
(P.S. my apology raghan, for this)
En espérant que ta campagne Patreon fonctionnera (et que les retours se feront moins aggressifs).
Désolé de ne pas pouvoir participer de mon côté :/.
Paix et prospérité, et bon courage pour la suite des évènements =)
Having family members that are in the art profession i have a small understanding that this can and is a hard thing to make money on and when you have a niche market like furry drawing it only further complicates thing but there is a trend that i've noticed for the ones that make the most money and its consistency for how fast they get their stuff out. Now i bring this up as a point to when you first started your comic, your first page was 3+ years ago today with the max amount of pages being released of 3 bac. Now if a person who wanted to pledge saw this all they still see is that you werent consistent which means that BACK then they werent guaranteed they would see a new page right away and therefore dont see the point in pledging all be it you art work being good and this will hinder you massively.
My family member who is into art tried the whole getting paid for it theme with it not working out for them mainly because they didnt have a way to get the art out there in the main stream and didnt have the money or didnt make the money to compensate their payments such as rent, car and food. When i asked they why they didnt pursue it further it was because it started to become a financial strain and the return investment wasnt worth it at the time so she went and got a job. Her advice was if people want to make money doing this they better be prepared to struggle and hard if they dont have a job to back them up on it as thats all that will happen for a long time. My family member still does art and goes at it with the same passion as before when she didnt have a job but the only difference is that it takes her longer to finish a final piece.
As mentioned you previously had a paywall then took it down to only put it back up and when it comes down to convincing your patreons of this its not a simple matter of saying i want to do this for my life and only this as that wont actually look good on you. You as person will always have hard times financially or otherwise but for you to state that you wont have time to do this if you get a job is kinda hard to understand as other artist have full time jobs but yet still make time to do what they love and even then earn an extra income while their at it. If you got a job and mentioned to your viewers/parteons they will understand that time is thin but you are still making an effort to get the work out which will probably net you more pledges and until you reach that goal that you're comfortable living with then you can do this full time.
I personally think that putting a FULL paywall and being uncertain of how long it will take to get the uncensored version of your art work out will end up being more detrimental to you, what i think you should be doing is releasing the artwork to pledgers uncensored earlier by 2 weeks to 1 month and then release it publicly uncensored. I believe you will find this will net you more people and as long as you can keep up the pace the numbers will only grow.
Granted it is your work and you may do with it what you will, but if you continue down this path you will end up like every other artist who does this and eventually all your stuff will be leaked on the net and if people catch wind of what you did they may look down on it.
