A loss in the family
For those of you who aren't on my twitter, I just wanted to let you know that I may be... a bit preoccupied for a while.
This morning, my father passed away; he'd been fighting a combination of liver dysfunction, heart problems, and weakened lungs for the last two years, after he almost was lost during surgery.
I am blessed to have so many good people around me offering support, from my mate

I could go on for pages on the things my dad accomplished, but I will say he was a Radio Engineer, and that he was known and respected in his industry, as well as responsible for a lot of the things that makes modern radio work as well as it does.
He knew I was gay, knew I was a furry, and while he didn't understand he knew that you helped me be happy, and for that he accepted me, accepted us. I don't really know where to go, what to do right now beyond help any and every way I can in the coming days.
Good tidings be with you all, and if you have family that loves and supports you, thank them. You don't realize how precious such a thing is until you feel it slip away.
My most sincere condolences Cal.
You don't know me, but I just want to write this letter to you. I hope these words reach you on the other side, and I hope they make you smile. I want to say thank you. Thank you for your hand in raising Calafin to what he is. Thank you for being there in his life, thank you for every lesson you taught him big or small. Thank you for molding him when he was young and there after. Thank you for the wonderful years you spent with your son, thank you for the gift of your son to us and into the world. Thank you for from the bottom of my heart for the best dolphin father this lil orca could have even hopped to have. I only wish I could have met you in person to thank you, but this short letter will have to do.
Be at peace knowing that he has such wonderful people like me and Naketa to look after him. We will help him through this difficult time and share with him the stories and adventures you spent with him. We will be eager to hear the joys and the pains, the laughter and the sadness. I hope you are doing well in your new state and I hope you are happy with how your son turned out to be.
Thank you, sir, thank you. Without you, Calafin would not have been as wonderful as he is now.
Sincerely,
Meiko
I'm always here for you if you need me. My thoughts will be with you and your family.
