Sadly I expected nothing else, but still hoped. America will pull through his time as well and perhaps his idiocy will pull Democrats and Republicans together to work to better your Nation. After all without the Congress and Senate backing his decisions he has not that much power to change anything (I believe, not that deep in your politic workings)

The Republicans have Congress too, so we'll probably see some dumb stuff get put through in the next four years. We just have to hope it isn't anything that can't be fixed.

But Trump is hated by the Republican Politicians as far as I know (I live in Germnay after all and don't get that much info in this regard), so getting his way is hard as well.

We will just have to see what comes out this.
