Kind of got punched in the face today

If at first you don't succeed, try and try again~
Commissions and Trades are STILL open!!! So today i did my hair on once side of my face in a brain that goes down the side of my head and then put the rest back in a pony tail, i really liked it.
But for the past week or so there's been this kid who's 2 years below me who is just an utter asshole. Everyday at the end of break time while i was walking to my lessons he would purposefully run sideways into me about 3 or 4 times pretending his friends where pushing him.
Today I'd had enough, so when he tried for the 4th time i grabbed him and out him in a headlock. He reached up to grab my face so i grabbed his hand with my mouth and bit down, HARD. He got out of my hold and punched me in the eye at that point my friend stopped me and the kid pretty much ran away.
A teacher saw all of this and asked me who he was and I had absolutely no idea. This random kid had been annoying me for a week. Luckily my friends knew him and apparently he is the biggest dick head you've ever seen. So I want to Student support (A small place in my school where student's with mental problems go for help and such) and i started crying because i realize i'd just hurt someone.
I HATE hurting people, which is why i hadn't retaliated before now. So i stay at SS for the lesson and notice my hair is all messed up and that theres a bruise below my eye... I eventually go back to lessons (IT luckily, one of my favorite lessons where i actually have people that i see as friends with me) and have a pretty nice lesson.
I go to the canteen to eat lunch with my friends like i do every day and this kid and about 10 other boys who i suppose are his friends start gathering in the corner near our table. I noticed him and just ignored him. Soon enough he walks over and says "You bit my hand" so i reply with "and you've been annoying me for a week" so he decides to punch me in the face, hitting on the right side of my jaw. I don't react at all, just sit there and keep eating my lunch and start talking to my friends again. A dinner lady (sort of supposed to monitor the students during break and lunch to make sure they don't do bad stuff) steps in the way of him and just stands there with her arms crossed.
So he walks AROUND HER and she does NOTHING to stop him as he then punch me in the side of the head, my ear to be exact. I have the exact same reaction as before and just continue my lunch nicely. He once again walks/runs away with his friends and i'm left in peace.
Me and my friends sort of laugh it off, everyone in the hall at that point had seen this happen and were kind of shocked.
A teacher, i think, comes over and asks if i#m ok and i say that i am and that he had already hit me at break, then he asks things like who he was and if anyone knows about what had happened at break so i say that the teachers at SS know. He says it will be dealt with and he soon left.
So i finish up and go read a book in the RC (resources center, pretty much he library) and the rest of the day was pretty normal apart from my swollen lip and bruise under my eye. A few students in my year did approach me and asked what happened so i told them and we all had a good laugh about how i didn't react at all.
So yea, i couldn't fix my hair and I really don't want to continue with style week and all... Sorry.

But although you may be against violence, I think it was justified, seeing as it was self defense. Bullies need to learn that if they play stupid games, they win stupid prizes.
Unfortunately, there are greater consequences as an adult should I choose to punch someone who's purposefully harassing me. Ah, the days where you could punch someone and only worry about something like detention....
Feel better, buddy.
