I'm getting baidu links as well. If someone tells you they got a link from you, do a scan with antivirus and Malwarebytes antimalware

Already done a scan and keeping a eye out.

I had this problem last week when a friend sent a peculiar message linking to a Forbes website, though the URL was strange. It ended up hijacking my account for a while, and I couldn't quite reset my password properly with Skype's online account management. I had to complete the Microsoft account recovery process (not always easy considering the questions) and managed, once vertified, to get my account back under control.

So yeah, be very careful.

I clicked on the first link sent to me so i am going to keep a close eye on the following days to see if there is anything going on, several scans and just buffing up security in general. I tend to be careful but there's nothing like a good scare to put a fire at ones heels to get things done.

It's been longer than that. It's been going on for a couple of years. He's just trying to spread the message.

I only first heard about it a couple of days ago so i can be thankful that it took this long to get to me and that there are plenty of other people that already know what to do and can help out.

Heads up, Baidu is the equivalent to google over here! But yeah, probably suspicious.

Thanks for the heads up, already knew what Baidu was but any site linked through a hacked account on skype, even google, will be treated with suspicion.
