Terms of service for orders placed to Ryuu Daiga
Ryuu Daiga's Commission Prices
Updated on 3/28/17: unacceptable orders, tax, payment methods, edits, refunds
Upon receiving an order
•I reserve the right to refuse an order or to cancel an order and refund the client based on how much work was completed.
•The client must provide me with reliable contact information--Telegram, Twitter, and Facebook messenger are acceptable but I can use phone texting and email as well. Platforms such as Kik are unacceptable as old messages are deleted automatically.
•I require an accurate and clear reference sheet of the character I am contracted to illustrate. I will not create character designs. For reference sheets I am creating for a client, the client must know what the details of their character are. Greater complexity of a character may cost an additional fee of up to 25% of the base price.
•The client must set a deadline or I will default it to 90 days after full payment. I cannot guarantee shipped orders will make deadlines, please allow up to a week before shipped order is required.
•I will accept a maximum of 2 separate projects per month from any single client.
UPDATE Things I will not draw on commission:
Full robots (robotic features on an organic character are acceptable)
fecal matter
Self-harm (some exceptions, please ask if unsure)
Underage pornography
Bloodplay
UPDATE Payment
•If you are ordering from Texas there will be an 8.25% Texas sales tax included in your total. Paypal and card payments will have an additional 3% fee to cover the transaction costs.
•Full payment is required before work begins on an order under $100. If payment is over $100 I will accept a holding fee of 25% to begin work, but I will not complete more than 50% of the order before full payment is complete.
•If a piece under $100 is not fully paid for within a week after sending the client my invoice, I will remove the order from my waiting list and refund any payment made minus a $5 waiting list fee and the cost of any work done until that point. If a piece over $100 is not fully paid for within 2 months after sending the client my invoice, I will remove the order from my waiting list and refund any payment made minus a $5 waiting list fee and the cost of any work completed at that point.
•I will accept Paypal for online payment and cash/card for in-person payment. For paypal payments I will send an invoice to the client's supplied Paypal email address. I will not accept "snail-mail" payment for anything over $10.
UPDATE Upon receipt of payment
•I will provide the client with a limited number of works in progress (WIPs) at the sketch, lineart, color, and final approval stages.
•I will make 3 minor and 1 major change maximum for free. Further changes will incur a fee depending on complexity. Correcting mistakes on my part (based only on the reference I am provided) will be my responsibility.
•Additional fees will be charged after final image is approved and before delivery.
•Prices are subject to change, the only case where a previously discussed price may not change is within an invoice I have sent to the client.
•I retain all rights to the work I create and may use it in the future for self-promoting purposes. If a client wishes a commissioned piece of a sensitive nature not be used publicly in the future I will do my best to respect those wishes.
•A client may not majorly edit or recreate a piece I create for them without my permission. I will consider changing a piece I have created for a client for an additional fee. Small edits by the client such as enhancing saturation or contrast for display purposes are acceptable. A client may not profit off a piece I have created without agreeing upon a new contract with me.
Refunds
•I ask clients to allow at least a month of 0%-49% completion before asking for a refund. However if a client changes their mind about wanting an order, I can offer a partial to full refund depending on how much I have completed. I will not refund an order that is 50%-100% completed. I will not refund a completed and shipped order.
•If a client is unhappy with the finished piece due to a mistake on my part, I will not refund the order.
Bottom line: If you are unsure of my rules, please ask me before placing your order!
