RANTING
We came back to the apartment to discover our roommate skipped a day of work....when she hasn't been getting much work in the first place. Rent is in 2 weeks and she gets paid biweekly- next week.
Well, here's the thing. She lacks any adult responsibility out there. She's spent $100 in PSN cards for loot boxes in Overwatch. She's constantly buying video games. And expensive name brand food that she eats in a couple of days. And asks my girlfriend to drive her to work- rarely thanking her for it- constantly promising us she'll pay us back when she barely has the money to afford rent. It's a cycle of money stress every other day. And it's wearing me down. I only work about 20 hours a week and get paid every week- I make just under 10 dollars an hour. My girlfriend even less.
We can't keep fucking affording to pay for our roommate. Of course the upcoming rent is going to be mostly mine and my gf's paychecks.
It's just really fucking shitty- I finally make enough to yknow, pay for MY rent and then MY groceries and have a slight bit leftover to buy material things and commissions that I really want. And I guess I should just /not/ buy things for myself but...idk, I also have been really wanting to help my artist friends out too with commissions. Sucks I can't.

Though TBH I'll be open to do anything just so I can earn the extra cash for rent in a couple of weeks and still have leftover money for food.
I also want to say I'm thankful for all of you for your patience, for you help and support. Especially those couple of commissions that I owe now- they'll all be finished by the end of next week <3 (especially now that I got photoshop to work again and can animate things again!! ;w ;)
I feel so shitty that my last few journals have been nothing but my complaining. I've just been super frustrated and have had no one to turn to other than my gf who feels the same. It's a repetitive shit fest. And I love my roommate to death- but g o d it's been a difficult ride.
I'm sorry that things aren't working quite as planned, just know that you're an awesome person.
In my opinion, you should really look into perhaps getting a smaller apartment, or renting a house.
I rented my first house last year and each month it costs me about $400+Utilities. Which sums up about 600 dollars
It sounds like a lot, but with how well your commissions are doing, and if you have another hand helping you (Your girlfriend)
Things will totally settle down.
Talk to your roommate and set some ground rules. If she fails to obeyed by them, then so long old friend.
You shouldn't have to suffer because another person doesn't know how to properly budget and has some addition to loot crates in fucking overwatch. xD
Talk to her, babe. If things don't work out then I highly recommend finding a new roommate, or just getting out of that apartment/house/whatever it is all together.
