2015 was worse for me
2013 and 2014 were pretty bad too

The past few years have just been craptastic, I agree.

In 2012 I met and lost my first girlfriend here on this very site, with all the drama that brought. In 2013 one of my organs got infected to the point of needing removal and I got involved with a girlfriend who was actually worse than the first even if she stuck with me longer. 2014 I was constantly working myself sick trying to pay off crushing medical debt. 2015 I was working myself sick paying the same amount of money to a long-distance girlfriend to cover her phone and electric bills while she ignored me or treated me like dirt, then she broke up with me shortly after her birthday and never thanked me for any of the art I got her. 2016 my best friend died and I had no way to travel out of state and attend his funeral. Then a woman approached me on a dating site and four months later dumps me with the revelation that she'd been seeing someone else for two of those months and just "didn't know how" to tell me she saw me as "just a friend" while, you know, flirting with me, kissing me, and saying how much she loved me.

How've these years been mistreating you, friend? I have some time to lend a sympathetic ear. I remember things like you not being able to go to some con or furmeet you'd been planning since someone else stuck you with dogsitting at the last second?

*hugs* I'm sorry to hear how rough things have been for you. Makes my issues pale in comparison, really.

I'm also being kicked out of the place I've been living for the past four years and having serious troubles finding somewhere else to move into without losing my job as well (or heck, even a place to move and get a new job from there). At this point it'll take a Christmas miracle, since I only have until New Year's day to get there.

But things can always get worse, and my life would be worse if I lived in any other nation in the world but had the same socialization issues.

Damn, dude, I am so sorry to hear that.

Hopefully things start turning around soon. Can't give up hope.
