I get them, but my display doesn't seem to include a 'shout' function for me to do them? Or is it buried somewhere?

Shouts appear on your front page- generally, to respond to one you go to the bottom or the page and respond, or go to the person's page who whouted to you and respond there. :)

On FA, you have to go to the person who shouted at you or they won't know you responded.

DA has the threaded response notices.

Uhm? No, I understand how to read them well enough, its how to shot to others I'm not getting. So, you're saying that I go to their page and find the shout function?
