Discovered in 1991, but not explored for 18 years, this just goes to show that even on land, there is still so much to be discovered on this planet.
The largest room in the Sơn Đoòng cave is more than five kilometers long and stretches 200 meters into the air.

And here I was thinking that it may have been because you were in there, that no explorers had ever returned for 18 years. ;)
