Some thoughts about misplaced aggression
I love that feeling when your prey is kicking in your gut.
I'm beginning to notice that some artists lash out at the latest person to trigger their pet peeve, now this journal isn't aimed at anyone in particular first off because I haven't noticed this that often and two it violates FA's 'stop the drama llamas' policy. The problem I see with this is that the person who does it often has no clue that what they're doing is a pet peeve until they're informed (shouting 'get bent' is likely to provoke a nasty response in exchange but saying that a painting by Rembrandt looks like a Picasso isn't as likely to get such an angry response).
Also typically the aggression is misdirected, yes that guy was the umpteenth one to hammer your pet peeve but why are you taking out the anger that you should've vented at those fifty something odd guys first rather than have one person take all the punishment for their mistakes.
I've gotten yelled at on Youtube a lot for 'stating exactly what's going on in the video', I then point out the oodles upon oodles of people who were doing THE EXACT SAME THING, and none of them were called on it so why am I the one to be punished for that? Do I have a target painted on my back or what?
I can get how frustrating it is when something that you don't like happens over and over again, in my case it was elitist players in Tekken Revolution. However, instead of blowing up at the last person who said 'U SUK' I simply uninstalled the game and walked away, much better for my blood pressure (and social life) it also had the nice fringe benefit of making me look more patient.
I found out what this was called in an episode of Danny Phantom where the box ghost crops up after Danny got a piddly reward for hard work 'misplaced aggression'. Where you aggressively go after a single person because the other people you were angry with have run off somewhere. Unfortunately that makes YOU look overreactive and angry. It also makes the aggression look unjustified maybe resulting in yells of 'break it up' or 'play nice'. (though in this day and age it might just get a question of where the nearest popcorn vendor is at).
Anyways this was on my mind and I needed to vent, to whoever comments, thanks for reading the wall of text and listening to me babble.

Like I said not naming names because it's against policy.

In any case I put this up as I just saw this, and the peeve was so obscure (not to mention an honest mistake) that I asked about it on a journal (which has since been deleted) once again not naming names.
