But it's really unique is the thing. If you felt the need to change it'd be to switch the design around and keep the colors, or simple dull the original colors to a more natural way.

Nah dont change it man, forget what others say.If they care enough to say your colors are "stupid" but dont care enough to give feed back other than"hurr durr its stupid" They clearly havent seen anything yet. (I've seen "interesting" color choices, but i never found one that i would call stupid) In the end; beauty in the eye of the beholder. One person might love your colors, one may think that its stupid. Whatever you like, stick with it. You shouldnt change what you like for what others like.

Well, neon colours are a bold choice.
They are eye-catching and mostly distracting
(especially on dark fur)
and many will find them quite unpleasant for the eye.
Your character is neither natural looking with them
nor do they give him a more toony design,
so also many will dislike the quirky pattern idea itself.

I honestly don't fancy thoose colours either,
but I wouldn't call them "stupid",
since you clearly put thought into your design.
You did stick with your character for a long time now
and the only one who has to truely like him, is yourself. x3

Honestly your design is pretty easy to do, nothing too complex. Plus the colors aren't in your face kind of thing nor are there 50 different colors.

Taste is different and so are opinions. Its your sona so you should like the colors and all that, you have to identify with him and if you like the colors its the way you go. Dont change for other people, only change when you want it.
