PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK
Let's talk about my new tail prices.
(PLEASE, I really need feedback!)
Best way to talk about it, is with examples!
So let's talk about the tail I almost finished today.

I charged $75 plus shipping for this tail.
With my new prices, this tail would be charged at $175.
-Base price for a 4 foot tail is now $80.
-Being 3 colors brings it up to $100. (+$10 a color)
-5 Spikes adds $25 ($5 per spike)
-Tail Fan adds $40 ($5 per color, and $30 for assembly)
I want opinions on this PLEASE. Am I charging too much? I feel $175 sounds like a LOT of money, but this tail has 3 furs, (if I have to order each fur, that's $75 not including shipping), stuffing is $10, and fleece if on sale is $5 per fleece so that's $10. Sparkle vinyl is normally $15 per yard not including shipping so at 2 colors that's $30. Including thread and the zipper which adds up to about $5-$10.We are up to $135 in materials alone not including shipping.
Now yes, this is worst case scenario where I have to buy literally all the materials, and I do realize not all the material is used for this single tail, but now a days people send me links to furs they want and I don't get to use what I have in stock already, so I am almost always buying new stuff. However, even in this worst case scenario I am only making $40. This tail took about 15 collective hours. That's almost $2.60 an hour. So even IF I had say one yard in stock, I am maybe saving $35 including shipping, bumping my pay to only $5 an hour.
Please let me know what you think! And also put yourself in the shoes of a commissioner. You know my gallery speaks for itself and my quality is not amateur in the slightest. I try to supply excellent customer service, and it I am not in a time period where I also have college work, I have a turnaround of a week to 3 weeks depending on the size of my que, how quickly you paid, and the complexity of your tail. I also do payment plans.
Lastly, please note, with these new prices I will only require a third up front, and the other two thirds are flexible according to the commissioner. I will still refuse to ship out, however, until the product is paid for in full.
THANK YOU!
