Commissions Rulebook!

Prior to requesting a commission:
- Please listen to some of my other music if you haven't already, to get a feel for how I write.
- I currently use paypal until further notice. Make sure you likely have enough money to cover the full piece prior to requesting it.
- Prepare some kind of description of what you want - several adjectives and a music style are good. Other pieces I can use as references are helpful, but not necessary.
- If this is a theme for an OC, prepare a description of the character and their personality, as well as at least one reference picture so I can understand them.
- Please specify what you plan to use the piece for, particularly whether it is for commercial purposes or if you would like to have all rights to the music.
- Include some way I can contact you if I have further questions or need some kind of other contact. I'm always happy to talk as well, so feel free to chat when I talk to you, too!
- Need it to be finished ASAP? Give me a deadline, and I will tell you if it is possible. There may be an additional fee, which we will discuss at this point.
- If you're a complete arsebugger, I will record the relevant conversation and immediately drop any active commission with no refund. By requesting a commission, you consent to this rule. (You will have plenty of warning prior to this rule coming into play)
How to request a commission:
- Send me a message on Skype or through FA's note system with a clear description of what you want me to create for you.
- You will get a final price based on the length and complexity of your request, roughly based on the prices described in my commission info.
- Standard payment terms are 50% up front, 50% upon completion. Alternate terms can be determined with larger requests, based on progress markers.
Commission progress and completion:
- Once your piece is finished, it will be uploaded to my gallery. If you are going to use the piece for commercial purposes or wish to have full rights to the piece, please discuss this with me directly, as additional details and terms may be necessary.
- Timeframes will be listed in the commission info, and may vary depending on the specific piece.
- Works in progress are not only available, but will be periodically sent to you in order to confirm that you are satisfied with the way the piece is going.
- I will place requests in a queue, but may occasionally work on several at once.
- Please do not harass me about commissions. Private rudeness or constant public poking about it will be treated as arsebuggery and will be treated as such. Any questions can be sent via notes or private messages.
Edits:
- You can change your commission request at any time. Simply message me privately or send a note.
- Prior to the first update on your commission, the price will be adjusted as if your update was your original request.
- Minor tweaks in instrumentation, mixing, and melody can be requested as the piece is created, at any point throughout its writing.
- Complete overhauls or large changes to the commission and piece mid-writing will result in a new commission, with no refund of any payments made.
